GREENVILLE, S.C. – Charlotte Volleyball fought up a sweep and forced a fourth set, but ultimately dropped a 3-1 (18-25, 22-25, 25-20, 17-25) decision at Furman on Tuesday night. The 49ers will now turn their attention to Conference USA's opening weekend traveling to Marshall on Friday and #25 WKU on Sunday.
Charlotte (6-8) battled back-and-forth early on in set one as , and all threw down kills for a 13-13 set. The turning point in the opening set was Furman's five-point run over the next six points to grab an 18-14 lead thanks to a pair of Jamila Johnson kills and two Christen Sikora aces.
