BOCA RATON, Fla. – Charlotte volleyball ended the 2016 season with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 25-13) loss at Florida Atlantic on Saturday afternoon.
Charlotte (7-23, 1-13) got off to a fast start on Saturday leading 8-5 after one Janell Sparks three kills over the first 13 points. After FAU rallied to take a lead midway through the set, a Jocelyn Stoner block with Anna Henderson tied the contest up at 16-16 before Henderson teamed up with Sparks on a combo block for a 17-16 advantage. Kaylyn Torain would hold off the Owls first set point with a kill at 24-20 before Maja Ristic ended things for the Owls.
