CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte volleyball put up another tough battle on Saturday morning before falling to visiting Florida Atlantic in three close sets (25-23, 25-20, 25-19) wrapping up the regular season. The 49ers will now prepare for the Conference USA tournament next weekend with pairings/seeds/times being announced later tonight.
"It's hard not to talk about our seniors without getting emotional," began Head Coach Karen Weatherington. "They have meant everything turning things around for this program. They will leave with the young players knowing what it's like to be a leader."
Charlotte (19-11, 6-8 C-USA) went back-and-forth with the Owls in the opener taking an early 5-4 lead on an Alex Boone kill.
