CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte volleyball rolled out to a 2-0 lead on Sunday afternoon, but couldn't keep the momentum going after the 10-minute intermission as North Texas rallied for a 3-2 (22-25, 22-25, 25-20, 25-20, 15-13) Conference USA victory inside Halton Arena.
"It was close, gut-wrenching match," began Head Coach Karen Weatherington. "There is no easy day in Conference USA. As long as were giving teams that much of a battle, you can't help but to be happy as a group. If you can battle with the best, you can battle with anybody."
Charlotte (17-7, 4-4 C-USA) got off to their hot start pulling away with their own momentum late in the first.
