BUFFALO, N.Y. – Charlotte volleyball completed a perfect weekend capturing the tournament title at the Canisius Invitational with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-12, 25-22) victory over Bucknell on Saturday afternoon. The 49ers scored their sixth-straight victory overall, fourth-straight sweep and run their unbeaten set streak to 14 ending the weekend.
"I am so proud of our team," exclaimed Head Coach Karen Weatherington. "This weekend was a testament to the foundation of hard work laid from previous weeks of training. Everyone contributed to this championship victory."
Charlotte (9-3) created separation in the first set nearing the midway point as Sydney Rowan threw down a kill and ace, right after a Kaylyn Torain kill for a 12-8 lead.
