CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte volleyball took care of Eastern Kentucky 3-1 (21-25, 25-12, 25-19, 25-22) to capture their own invitational title on Saturday afternoon. Tyra Galloway was named the weekend MVP with Yumi Garcia and Sydney Rowan also capturing all-tournament honors.
"It feels fantastic to start 3-0," began Head Coach Karen Weatherington. "I saw a lot of our preseason work come to fruition this weekend. We responded well after the first set and got some momentum going. I'm really excited to take home the trophy and put some hardware in the locker room.
