MOUNTAIN BROOK, Ala. – Charlotte got off to a great start with three runs in the top of the first, but UAB came right back scoring five in their half en route to a 9-5 victory on Saturday morning. Despite the loss, Rafi Vazquez became the second Niner this season to homer twice in a game.
"We got off to a great start there in the first," started Head Coach Loren Hibbs. "But we weren't good on pitching and defense early which allowed them to score their nine runs over the first three innings.
