OKLAHOMA CITY - For the first time in program history, a Charlotte softball player has been named to the USA Softball's Player of the Year Top 50 Watch List. Junior catcher Bailey Vannoy is 45th on the list after putting up stellar numbers in her sophomore season to rank atop or near the top of many offensive categories in the NCAA last year, which propelled her to national recognition.
Before the season was cancelled due to COVID-19, Vannoy started in all 27 games, putting up unreal statistics in the process. She began the season with an 18-game on-base streak, which was the longest on the team.
