CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte's men's golfers John Gough and newcomer Matt Sharpstene will represent the 49ers at the U.S. Men's Amateur beginning Monday in Oregon. The duo will be a part of a massive field spread over two courses for the right to advance to match play action.
"I'm very excited for John and Matt to play the U.S. Amateur at Bandon Dunes," started Head Coach Ryan Cabbage. "It's always great when you get to play in one of golf's "major championships," especially this year with the USGA selection criteria.
