CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Playing only singles against its cross-county rival, the Charlotte women's tennis team snapped Davidson's 10-match win streak with four decisive victories for a 4-2 triumph Friday afternoon at the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex.
"Every time we play Davidson, we show up ready to compete," head coach Michaela Gorman said. "They're a very strong team. They're a very smart team. They play and are coached very well. But, we know every point is going to be a grind. We have to be focused on every single shot we hit. I challenged them today to come out and be focused on every shot, and that's how we walked away with the victory today.
