CHARLOTTE, N.C. - After a weekend filled with personal records and nationally-ranked times over two meets, the track and field team travels to Lynchburg, Va., to compete in the Liberty Elite Invitational Friday, Jan. 22 through Saturday, Jan. 23.
IN THE RANKINGS
Last week, junior Chandler Horton posted a personal record mark of 9:42.05 in the 3000m to place first. Not only does this time rank fourth in school history, but it also ranks first in Conference USA and 19th in the nation.
Two 49ers excelled in the mile event and hold the top two spots in the conference as Finnegan McBride and Austin Carroll placed first and second in the mile with times of 4:10.
