CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte volleyball needed extra points in the fourth trailing 2-1 in the match before jumping on Davidson early in the fifth to hold on for a 3-2 (22-25, 25-22, 21-25, 26-24, 15-13) victory over the Wildcats on Tuesday night. The 49ers picked up their seventh win in 12 opportunities while sending Davidson down to 5-5.
"I am so excited about the way we stepped up and fought back," began Head Coach Karen Weatherington. "We love rivalries. Davidson's always a great team, work hard and pick us apart knowing each other very well. We knew it would be a grudge match.
