MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Charlotte concluded the final day of the 2016 Conference USA Track and Field Championships in Murfreesboro, Tenn.,, where the men were narrowly edged out, coming in fourth place as a team, and the women finished with a solid fifth on their side.
The men’s total of 96 points is the most for the program in C-USA history, topping the previous high of 87 set in 2001. The women collected 55.5.
The Niners took another three trips to the medal podium, as senior All-American Trey McRae capped his successful weekend with a clean sweep, taking gold in the triple jump.
