CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte volleyball's Tatyana Thomas and Yumi Garcia have been named the offensive and defensive "Players of the Week" in Conference USA announced on Monday afternoon. Garcia, the 49ers libero, wins the award for the second-straight week while Thomas earns her first career nod. The Niners posted a 3-1 week with a road win at UNCG and victories over North Florida and Georgia Southern last weekend.
Thomas put together a career week leading to all-tournament honors at the "Bash in the Boro." Thomas opened up the week guiding the Niners to a four-set victory at UNCG by putting down 11 kills to hit .
