This Week in History: Olafur Loftsson

This week in 49ers history takes us back to 2011 when Olafur Loftsson, a senior on the 49ers golf team, cards a two-under 68 in the first round of the Wyndham Championship in Greensboro. Loftsson drained four birdies in his opening round, added another in an even par 70 during the second round, to just missed the cut by one shot. Loftsson became the first ever player from Iceland to compete in a PGA Tour event. Loftsson made the Wyndham Championship by winning the Cardinal Amateur the week before.
