It’s been 34 years since Kristin Wilson left her on-court mark on the Charlotte women’s basketball program, but as she was nearing the end of her Sun Belt Player of the Year award-winning senior season, she etched her name into the 49ers’ record books with the latest edition of This Week in History.
Wilson and her teammates were in the midst of a four-game homestand, playing inside Belk Gym and on their way to sweeping all four contests. They had come off a dominating 78-47 triumph over Winthrop two days earlier and were set to play host to another South Carolina-based institution, Converse, an all-women’s college based in Spartanburg, two nights later, Feb.
