This Week in History: Chris Tucker's 1st PGA Major

In this week's installment of 49ers history, we take a look back at former 49er Chris Tucker playing in the 1990 PGA Championship. Tucker shot an opening round 76 to find himself midway in the pack before a second round 82 missed the cut in his first PGA major tournament. Despite missing the cut, Tucker still had a better showing that week topping the likes of Lee Trevino, Mark Calcavecchia, Jack Nicklaus, Curtis Strange, Brad Faxon and Arnold Palmer The event was held at Shoal Creek Country Club just outside of Birmingham, Alabama, a course the current 49ers Men's Golf team has played in recent years.
