This Week in 49ers History: July 8, 2016
Almost four years ago, Charlotte track and field standout, Trey McRae, competed in the high jump event at the Olympic Trials in Eugene, Ore. McRae finished in fifth, which marks the highest finish in history for a 49er at the Olympic Trials.
During his time at Charlotte, McRae was a five-time All-American in both the high jump and the long jump events. He earned All-America Outdoor honors in 2014 (high jump, 13th) and in 2016 (high jump, 3rd; long jump, 17th). In 2015, McRae received All-America Indoor accolades in high jump (T-10th) and long jump (12th).
