SAN ANTONIO – Another Conference USA game; another Conference USA shutout for the Charlotte women's soccer program in 2017. The 49ers earned their third clean sheet in four league games, all by the same score, in topping UTSA 3-0 Sunday afternoon to pick up their seventh victory in the last eight overall.
Freshman goalkeeper Abby Stapleton finished with one only save, a diving stop to her right in the first half, in collecting her fourth clean sheet of the campaign. Overall this fall, Charlotte (8-4, 3-1 C-USA) has five clean sheets to match last year's total, though just three of those came during the regular season.
