LEXINGTON, Va. – Charlotte men's track and field team finished second at the Keydet Invitational Saturday, hosted by VMI, while the women's team placed third.
Stevan Veselinovic placed first in the weight throw with a distance of 19.34m (63-5.5), leading a strong performance by the field athletes.
"It was a productive meet with a number of improvements from last week with several personal bests and top ten all time performances," Head Coach and Director of Track and Field and Cross-Country Bob Olesen said. "I think we still have some residual effects from winter break but showed development in race fitness and field eventers were able to make important technical adjustments in competition.
