CHARLOTTE, N.C. - After kicking off the 2017 outdoor season with the immensely successful 49er Classic home meet last weekend, the Charlotte track & field team will split up to compete in both NC State's Raleigh Relay's and the University of Tennessee's Rust Buster Invitational this weekend. The Relays will take place on both Friday, March 24th and Saturday, March 25th while the Rust Buster will just be on Saturday.
The Niners are riding a wave of early momentum after rewriting the record books at the Irwin Belk Track & Field Center. Junior Victoria Ebert broke the school record for women's shot put and sophomore Stevan Veselinovic broke the school record for men's hammer throw en route to being named Conference USA Male Field Athlete of the Week.
