The Charlotte 49ers men’s tennis team (3-1) defeated North Carolina Central (0-4) on the road this past Sunday in a 7-0 victory.
At the six spot Josh Aubrey received a walkover and Charlotte’s Orial Puig got the double bagel 6-0, 6-0 over NCCU Dillion Strepay. The team also won both doubles matches with Sam Rice and Puig getting the win by forfeit. At the number one doubles spot Vikram Hundal/Massalle Ferrer defeated Gabriel Cucalon/Davide Callegari 6-4 needing one three more to set the all time school record. Also at the number two singles, Massalle went the distance with North Carolina Central’s Cucalon in a tight three setter 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (7-4).
