CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Sophomore Grace Hunter may have finished with her first double-double of the season, and eighth of her career, but it was contributions from all eight 49ers who played that lifted Charlotte to a 79-64 triumph over East Carolina Thursday evening. Hunter was one of three Niners to net double-figure points but it was the defensive effort in the fourth quarter, during which the Pirates were held to 11 points on 16.7 percent shooting which helped separate the two teams down the stretch.
LEADERS
Hunter finished with season highs of 23 points and 12 rebounds, including eight defensively, to lead all players in both categories.
