IRVING, Texas – Track and field junior jumper Sydney Blue won Charlotte's Winter Spirit of Service (Charlotte, N.C./Ardrey Kell HS) Award Conference USA announced Friday.
Commissioner Judy MacLeod chose Blue, along with a student-athlete from each of the other 13 schools in the league, during the winter sports season.
Blue is a high and long jumper on the 49ers' team and possesses a 3.41 GPA in communication studies - mass media with a minor in journalism. She ranks seventh in indoor and fourth in outdoor, on the 49ers' all-time high jump performance list.
