CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte came out of the halftime locker room and outscored Rice by nine in the second half but it was not enough for the 49ers, as the Owls claimed the 62-55 victory Saturday evening inside Halton Arena. The Niners doubled up Rice in the third quarter, 14-7, but the solid opening period for the visitors proved to be too much to overcome.
