CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Moving into the month of February, the Charlotte 49ers will venture to two locations in split squad action on Friday and Saturday, February 1-2. The Niners will contend at the Carolina Challenge hosted by the University of South Carolina in Columbia and the JDL Camel City Invitational from Winston-Salem, N.C.
The Carolina Challenge will be hosted by the Gamecocks, who have the No. 19 women's and the 55th-ranked men's track and field programs in the country. The Carolina Indoor Track & Field Complex is a newly-established facility inside the old South Carolina Field House, featuring a banked six-lane Mondo track, a separate throws area, two pole vault areas, two jumps runways and two high jump areas along with an eight-lane 60m straight track on the infield.
