CHARLOTTE, N.C. – For the second time this season, Charlotte senior Janell Sparks takes home a weekly Conference USA award earning offensive player of the week honors announced Monday afternoon. It marks the fifth week of a possible six the at-least one 49er has won a C-USA accolade.
Sparks had a solid weekend setting a new career high with 25 kills in a match and hit .331 on the 1-1 weekend in C-USA play. On the C-USA road for the first time, Sparks started with 19 kills and a .333 hitting night during the 49ers 3-1 win at UAB handing the Blazers their first league loss of the year.
