The Minnesota Vikings made a change to their quarterback room Sunday, reaching agreement on a contract with veteran quarterback Carson Wentz and trading quarterback Sam Howell to the Philadelphia Eagles, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Wentz, 32, played his only season for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2024, when he served as backup to Patrick Mahomes. Wentz played in two games as a reserve and started the final regular season game against the Denver Broncos after the Chiefs had clinched the No. 1 overall seed for the AFC playoffs.
