CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The fifth and final addition to the Charlotte volleyball signing class is Sophie Whalen, a prep standout from AC Reynolds in Asheville. Head Coach Karen Weatherington announced Whalen's addition on Wednesday to complete the fall signing period.

"Sophie is intelligent and has a tremendous work ethic. She will definitely help us out in the back row. She's just a great person to be around because she is enthusiastic and fiery. She adds to our roster this spring and will definitely be a welcomed impact.
