CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte softball claims it second straight Conference USA Player of the Week honor, the league announced Monday afternoon, after a weekend that saw freshman Lizzy Birch pump out eight hits, including her first collegiate home run off none other than 2015's NCAA leader in ERA.
The quick-gloved infielder picked all up all five of her season's five RBI this past weekend, where she ripped two doubles, a triple, and a homer and scored three runs in Charlotte's five games of the Citrus Classic at ESPN's Wide World of Sports at Walt Disney World.
