CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- After a strong sophomore campaign, Charlotte softball's Haley Pace has earned NFCA All-Region honors, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced late Thursday afternoon.
The middle infielder from Winston-Salem, N.C., claims Second Team Mideast Region accolades, one of nine players from Conference USA to gain recognition in the region and thirteen in the league total. The depth of the position was flexed, as first, second, and third team all went to a C-USA shortstop.
Pace ranked first on the team in eight offensive categories, and in addition to leading in RBI in C-USA, was tied for first in sac flies, fourth in total bases, tied for eighth in hits, tied for tenth in HRs and doubles, and eleventh in slugging perentage.
