CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte 49ers softball team returns to Sue M. Daughtridge Stadium this weekend for a key three-game series with Conference USA opponent UAB. Charlotte is currently on the outside looking in for the Conference tournament. The 49ers and Blazers will face off May 4 & 5, with a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., celebrating the seniors prior to the first game. Sunday's contest will begin at 12 p.m. noon.
Charlotte (15-32, 6-14) seeks their second conference series win of the season, ultimately needing a sweep over UAB to have its best chances of making the eight-team field for the 2019 Conference USA Softball Tournament, which will be hosted by UAB, May 9 – 12 in Birmingham, Ala.
