CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte Softball concluded the regular season with a 4-2 victory over the UAB Blazers to secure the series sweep.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Niners struck first, scoring two in the bottom of the first when Jaylah Jarrell knocked in Jenna Lord and Teagan Ritchie on a two-RBI single to give the Niners a quick 2-0 lead.
The Blazers responded in the top of the second when Lindsey Smith blasted a homer to put UAB on the board, 2-1. Directly following Ashlyn Shirah ripped a double off the wall to put another runner in scoring position, but the Niners managed to set the next three down to end the scoring threat.
