CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Charlotte softball team will conclude its stellar 2016 opening homestand facing (RV) USC Upstate in a twinbill Wednesday, beginning at 3 p.m. at Phillips Softball Complex.
The 49ers enter the contest with a 9-0 record, marking the second best start in program history, and remain as one of just seven unbeaten teams in the nation. The squad has allowed the second fewest number of runs in Conference USA (7), and carry the sixth best ERA (0.80) in the nation.
The Niners also support reigning C-USA Player of the Weekand Co-Pitcher of the Week in sophomore Becca Shipper and senior Lexi Betancourt.
