CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Charlotte 49ers softball team has once again taken the podium, claiming Conference USA Softball Academic Award for the 2017-18 season.
The Conference USA Academic Award is given to the team in each conference-sponsored sport with the highest GPA for the academic year. C-USA announced those award winners Thursday.
With this season's honor, the Charlotte softball team brought home the award for the fourth-consecutive academic year.
"For the fourth year in a row our program has academically put itself at the top of Conference USA," head softball coach Aimee DeVos stated.
