CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte softball team completed a clean five-game sweep of the competition at the First Pitch Classic after besting Bowling Green, 7-3, on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at the D.L. Phillips Softball Complex.
The win gives Charlotte seven in a row, dating back to the twin bill victories against Gardner-Webb this past Wednesday, to move to 8-3 on the season.
Taking advantage of early control struggles for the Falcons' (6-3) starting pitcher, the 49ers loaded the bases on two walks and a bunt single by sophomore Emma Ocker in the 1st inning.
