CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte women's soccer midfielder Sophie Sipprell was named to the Who's Who Among Students at UNC Charlotte, the university announced earlier this week. She was one of 73 students selected for the 2020 honor.
Sipprell, the only student-athlete among the elite group, was one of over 450 applicants for the award this year after being nominated. Each application is evaluated on a point system.
The program was once a part of the larger national program but that is now defunct. The university has since transitioned into the Who's Who at UNC Charlotte a few years ago instead.
