JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Charlotte 49ers track and field team's job is complete at the NCAA East Preliminaries as five 49ers qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore. in June.
On the final day of the East Prelims, Maya Singletary was the only Charlotte competitor as the men's 4x400m relay team was not able to run due to the NCAA Rules Committee overturning the run off after the lights went out during their race last night. In the 400m quarterfinals, Singletary posted a time of 53.53 to place 22nd overall in the event.
