DALLAS - Charlotte 49ers men's soccer sophomore midfielder Axel Sigurdarson was named to the Conference USA All-Academic team.
SUCCESS IN THE CLASSROOM
The standout midfielder has a 3.93 GPA in business administration. He is a two-time Conference USA Academic Medal honoree and a two-time C-USA Honor Roll member. He is also a three-time Chancellor's List member.
ON THE FIELD THIS SEASON
Sigurdarson played an integral role in helping the 49ers earn an NCAA Tournament bid for the 15th time in the program's history. He has started every game this season while scoring a goal in Charlotte's win over UAB and recording assists in 49ers' victories over Old Dominion and FIU.
