Greenville, SC – Behind goals by and , the ninth-ranked Charlotte 49ers (7-0-2) defeated Furman (5-5-1), 2-1, on the road to remain undefeated. This marks the second time in school history that the 49ers are undefeated after nine games. Charlotte began the 1991 season, 13-0-3.
GOALS
In the 32nd minute, Sigurdarson was fouled by Furman goalkeeper Max Fisher in the box giving the 49ers a penalty kick. Chaouche converted the penalty kick for his third penalty goal of the season and his sixth goal of the season.
In the 73rd minute, Furman's Alfredo Diaz Santillan tied the score at one with a goal off a Jacob Garzon assist.
