Charlotte, N.C. – Behind a strong defensive performance and three double-figure scorers paced by a career-high 27 points by Jordan Shepherd, the Charlotte 49ers (5-4) defeated the Valparaiso Crusaders (6-5), 67-57, in Halton Arena.
Shepherd was 9-for-14 from the field and 8-for-8 from the free throw line. Jahmir Young nearly recorded a double-double with 14 points and eight rebounds. Amidou Bamba rounded out the 49ers double-figure scorers with 10 points.
