CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte women's tennis will hit the road for Chapel Hill for its spring dual match opener Saturday, as the 49ers square off against No. 3 North Carolina at 4 p.m. It marks the first dual match for the Niners under first-year head coach Anthony Davison.
Charlotte enters the contest after a fall tournament campaign in which it posted a cumulative 49-41 singles record and 20-22 mark in doubles play. Six members of the 10-player roster posted .500 or better ledgers in singles action, led by sophomore Rocio Safont's 9-1 record.
