Eugene, Ore -- Two of Charlotte's five qualifiers for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships participated in day one of nationals, Wednesday at Hayward Field. Freshman Nick Scudder ran in the men's 10,000 meters while fifth-year senior Elijah Cole was in the men's pole vault.
Scudder, who was named Freshman of the Meet at the 2021 C-USA Outdoor Championships after winning the 5000 meter run and placing second in the 10,000 meters, finished 23rd in the 10,000 meters with a time of 29:40.46. He was one of four freshman in the championship field.
