Sang to competer at the NCAA XC Championships

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - When Caroline Sang toes the starting line of the 2017 NCAA Division I Cross-Country Championships Saturday, she will be one of a handful of runners who have a realistic chance at taking home the individual title. The race is at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer Park in Louisville, Ky.

A native of Eldoret Town, Kenya, Sang won the Southeast Region title last Friday in 20 minutes and 5.8 seconds, becoming the women's athlete of the year. She also won the Conference USA Championships, earning the Women's Athlete of the Year. Sang led the 49ers in every race this season and finished sixth overall at the NCAA Pre-National invitational, which was ran on the same course Oct.
