Sang named Southeast Regional Women's Athlete of the Year

NEW ORLEANS – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) named Charlotte's Caroline Sang the Southeast Region Women's Athlete of the Year Tuesday.

A native of Eldoret Town, Kenya, Sang won the Southeast Region title last Friday in 20 minutes and 5.8 seconds, becoming the women's athlete of the year. She also won the Conference USA Championships, earning the Women's Athlete of the Year.

Sang will compete in the NCAA Cross-Country Championships at the University of Louisville Saturday. The Pre-National invitational was ran on the same course on Oct.
