Last week, Charlotte's Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) partnered with the Project Life Movement and Gift of Life to raise awareness and register students as potential bone marrow donors.
Their efforts were boosted by the help of Carolina Panther linebacker Luke Kuechly, an ambassador for the organization since 2013, who visited the Student Union to spur registration.
"Today is not your normal day in the student union for UNC Charlotte. We actually have Luke Kuechly here from the Carolina Panthers. He is here to get people to sign up for donating their bone marrow," track and field's Sydney Blue said.
