MIAMI – Charlotte suffered another setback on Sunday, falling 4-2 to FIU at Felsburg Field in Miami.
With the loss, the 49ers drop to 16-7 (0-3 C-USA), and the Panthers improve to 17-10 (3-0 C-USA).
The Niners offense was led by sophomore Haley Pace and freshman Emma Ocker, who each turned in 2-for-3 performances and scored a run. Pace collected two RBI as she smashed her third home run of the year.
Senior Lexi Betancourt tossed her 13th complete game of the season, striking out five.
