CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte volleyball came up on the wrong end of a 3-1 (19-25, 25-19, 23-25, 15-25) match against Marshall on Friday night in Halton Arena. The 49ers fall to 10-8 overall, 1-2 in C-USA play while the Herd move 12-4, 3-0.
"I thought we did what we could and think we lost out to the flu bug this week," began Head Coach Karen Weatherington. "It's not an excuse, but it's always tough when your top players aren't feeling at the top level to compete. It was clear that we ran out of gas on our side.
