Longtime Charlotte 49ers Director of Athletics Judy Rose was presented with an Honorary Alumna Award at the 2018 UNC Charlotte Alumni Awards Celebration, held uptown Friday afternoon at the Hilton City Center.
Rose was one of eight people honored, Friday, including three recipients of the Outstanding Young Alumna Award, two recipients of the Distinguished Alumnus Award and the Distinguished Faculty Award winner. Betty Stancil also received an Honorary Alumna Award, posthumously.
Rose, who will complete her 43rd year with the university when she retires June 30, has served as Director of Athletics for 28 years.
