CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte women's soccer will put an end to its early-season three-game road trip this weekend when it travels to the Peach State for two matches. The 49ers open the stretch at 7 p.m. Friday in Atlanta against Georgia State before making their way to Statesboro, Georgia, for a 1 p.m. Sunday start against Georgia Southern.
The Niners own a 1-1 record during the early portion of the schedule, picking up a 5-1 triumph over Western Carolina in the opener Friday before falling 3-0 at No. 9 North Carolina Sunday in Chapel Hill.
Freshman Megan Greene paces Charlotte with two goals, while sophomore Emily Truelove and freshmen Julia Grainda and Mary Manser have also found the back of the net.
